Last March was perfect (more than amazing)

Last March started out cold.

And I thought it was a good idea to set my Christmas tree on fire.

As it turns out it wasn’t a good idea to set my Christmas tree on fire. The tree rolled right off the fire pit and toward the dry wooden shed.

Here are the Christmas trees I stuck in the ground in a safer not- on- fire mode next to the shed.

We were saved from ourselves by an unusual March thunderstorm.

Great photos but be careful with fire. It’s always good to hear from you, Lisa. When I see a new post from “Melissa not dusting,” my first reaction is a smile. I know it is hard to keep up when you are working a regular job but even just a few pictures is fine with me. Thanks for the smile my friend!

We had an unexpected snow last week. Two whole inches and it starts a natural disaster with school closings, etc.

Thanks Bashar. Hope you’re doing well…jealous of the warmer weather you’re probably enjoying. Still snowing here….. ugh!

  9. Setting the Christmas tree on fire may not have been wise, but I bet it was fun – at least until you worried about burning up the entire county.

It was SO fun! The roar of the needles burning was loud and exciting!

  10. Hey, Melissa, I have missed you. I had to change my e-mail address when I got hacked, and forgot to put it on my wordpress subscriptions. So I had to re-subscribe. Lovely photos, dear one, a nice eclectic collection. :-)

  11. The photo of the bluebirds at the feeder is SOMETHING! I am fond of the fisherman too. I am giving some thought to reblogging this post. Thanks for doing the work of taking and putting up these photos.

Thank you much! The bluebirds were especially fun to watch… I watched them form the time they hatched in the yard and many months following. The young ones are pictured in this blog and quite fiesty!

      March 25, 2013 at 5:45 pm

      • That you watched them come to life must make it all the more satisfying that you were able to capture such a great shot. Come to think of it, I don’t think I have ever seen an EASTERN Bluebird before in the wild,. and probably never paid attention to them in the field guides etc.. They have an interesting color combination. Anyway.. I enjoy your blog. And now I notice you have twitter too. :-)
