you should know the rich have better outdoor bathrooms than you

A rare sunset. The sun always sets, but it's rare to see actually see that happen because of near constant cloud cover.

A sunrise along a creek. It was 0ºF or about 17º C on this morning.

Grape vines

Grape vines

I got tangled in some roses taking the grape vine photo. The deer enjoyed eating some greenery. See the gnawed off ends of the branches? I was surprised to see the green.

My not-boyfriend Eric Fischer from the weather channel retweeted this picture and I was totally geeked out. (a sure sign of a geek)

The difference between the "haves" and the "have-nots" extends far beyond the disparity between education and social resources. Check out this fancy OUTDOOR bathroom in the fancy pants neighborhood. It is always stocked with rolls and rolls of toilet paper and clean. Once the cross-country skiers started coming out of their mansions a plowed path to the bathroom appeared. Frankly I'm counting down to the first week of May when the trees and shrubs leaf out and I can hit the mountain bike trails even if I have to relieve myself.

I'm considering changing to longer running socks now that there's a few feet of snow on the ground.

I am certainly not wealthy and my mountain cabin is not in a neighborhood but I wired it with a three-way switch set-up and it has a chandelier and, (best of all) HEAT that can be turned on inside the cabin to pre-heat before going! Be looking for a personal email.

I’m wondering if you’re supposed to run when it’s so cold out….it seems that your lungs might freeze shut….or is that just the lazy person in me talking?

A mask alleviates any lung freezing. (: When time is limited I can’t workout depending on the weather… just have to do it when I can squeeze it in!

  6. Bethanne, I do not know whether your question was aimed @ me or not but I do not own any weapons. I have seen quite a few bears; in fact they seem to derive enjoyment out of scratching up the johnny when I am not there. I DO make some noise, especially at night when walking up the path, lol.

  8. At least we have warm homes to go back to. Even the poorer in the States usually have that. Not so in other parts of the world. That said, props to you for heading out to exercise in it! I love it! If Iived there, I would, too.
