we are alive

After an intense weekend of competitive dance, including a back stage fire, we are grateful to be alive and out in the open air inhaling air and not hairspray.

my baby at a Detroit dance competition

I told her to purge the weekend of sequins and hairspray from her soul by performing her dances on the shores of Lake Michigan. She is so obedient it's hilarious.

  3. Of course! What a great idea. You are the best mom ever. :D Funny thing is, I remember MORE, visiting Lake Michigan with a coat on than I remember visiting it with a bathing suit. Must be a Michigan thing.

It’s the bay in Traverse City and temps are back down to Michigan spring norms. No more balmy 80 degree days this week (:

Glad to hear you’re alive. If it’s any consolation, it has turned cold here too (relatively speaking). I have one of those digital weather stations (yes, I’m a weather nerd) and it got down to 36 last night. Supposed to be in mid-30s tonight as well then a gradual warm-up. Might fine lookin’ “babies,” Melissa.

Should read “Mighty fine lookin’ “babies,” Melissa. I hate it when that happens. Oh, be on the lookout for a personal email. I took some good pics (considering the camera) of our cherry tree just before rain and wind ruined it!
