Seidman Park: breaking the case of spring wide open.

A female Eastern Bluebird in Seidman Park, Kent County, Mich.

A Black-capped Chickadee about to grab a few grubs.

You can almost hear the frogs calling and see the turtle heads cresting the swamp's surface.

  1. You do make a compelling case that spring is definitely near, dearest. Your great photos are indisputable evidence. Great imagination and composition in the bottom pic. Well done. :-)xo

Thanks Bob, I like that bottom one too. It was a surprise turn out…. one of those days that the light never seemed good and nothing looked spectacular through the view finder. (:

  2. The ability of birds to fly has enabled them to remain so close to us while other creatures have been pushed back, mostly beyond the margins. Thanks for painting and sharing these living things – including the trees – with light. You are one of the beautiful light stalkers

I love our fall here, but I do love knowing we are entering our light and long warm days!

  4. I don’t know what season we are in here but I guess it is typical March in VA. One day the high will be in the upper 30s and the next will be 70.

Me too! I started to get excited two weeks ago when I noticed some birds molting and bird songs changing.

      I know isn’t it wonderful Lisa? A spring without winter… I didn’t mind a bit either. (:
