A male Downy Woodpecker. He was chasing the bluebirds away from the suet.

A White-breasted Nuthatch also enjoying perching on the jacked up bird bath.

      We finally got sunshine yesterday and today, with highs in the 60s. But tomorrow’s high only 40. Go figure.

  3. BTW, I was serious about your photographs. I love those close-ups. You apparently must be doing well with your 300mm lens. I would love to have a shot like that of the Nuthatch.
