I like to imagine that the downy is perched on a steering wheel, driving through town, looking for an address. He should get a GPS.

Thank you kindly for the better visuals. I’ve been seeing it for what it is- the ugly metal pole the feeder hangs from. It’s such an easy-going bird, a lot of its movements actually mimic a cautious driver.
