Can the sun be late?

Sunrise is getting later in the morning. It’s throwing my morning routine off a bit….
Sunrise
The sunrise in the bird bath

The turkeys passed through the yard for the first time in months. The largest male was too busy intimidating other Toms to get a good picture of it. Its snood was long enough to be classified as impressive.

      Hi Littleskew,

I’m finally catching the morning light as it gets later. (:
I love your drawing, Magical Night.

Thanks Bob! I’m already missing butterflies and they’ve only been gone a week or so.

Beautiful ! We have turkeys too.. and most of my pictures look just like that. When they do make it up near the porch, I can’t find the camera ;) We have 2 silver back turkeys and a 7-10 of the dark ones. I love to watch them :)

Cool I’ve never seen a silver backed one! (: I’ve been putting a little corn near the patio, but usually they’ll only venture close during the cold weather.

  4. The only wild turkey i’ve ever seen up close comes in a bottle, if you know what I mean and I think you do. Seriously, not something we see in these parts so the picture really fascinated me. It put me in mind of bark on a tree or something.

Funny Rev. (: I’m partial to organic herbal tea and wine these days!

I was surprised by all the color when the turkeys came close to the house. From far away they look muddy brown for the most part.

I was SHOCKED the first time I saw them wander into the yard. I knew nothing about them.
