Praying Mantis.

A cricket jumped on the praying mantis I was watching. Despite the praying mantis being described as an aggressive predator of crickets, this male remained uninterested as the cricket moved over it and the on another plant. I think it was because a female was in the area. I swear I watched about 30 bugs/food sources float right in front of its deadly claws and he never showed the least interest in killing...

Oh how fun for Jake! I still giggle thinking about when there was one of Jack Skeba’s window screen and Jodi found it after he made her go outside and check the bushes for the bear. (:

They’re so fun to watch. One was extending it’s wings showing a cool clear and black part of the wings.
