Expecting a baby!

I had a great weekend hosting a baby shower for my sister-in-law. There are juvenile American Goldfinches squawking in the garden all morning too… babies everywhere.

This little guy didn’t make a smooth landing, but was held up my the sturdy milkweed leaves. I love his dangling foot off the leaf.

  1. Love these – will check out my yard to see if there is similar activity. Thanks for pointing out the foot.. I would have missed it.

That dangling foot was so funny… it made it so obviously it was a young one.

It was such a rough landing and so cute that it stayed laying on those leaves for a while…seemingly comfortable.

Bob, it was a rough landing, but then he did lounge in the sun for a short time. A great tender moment…
