  4. Impressive video. I’m sort of loving this “random post” thing wordpress offers. What is the little black bug looking thing that appears at 1:41 ?

      Oh I forgot about this video myself. That is the last skin that was shed to reveal the chrysalis underneath. It’s the only instant that the caterpillar doesn’t eat. I think I’m going to do a monarch video blog. :)

      • Before seeing this video I was on a post of yours that had a really nice shot of a black swallowtail. I decided I wanted to go back and see that photo again so I used google to search “swallowtail” on your site specifically. It gave me 441 results! Ha. I haven’t found the post I was looking for but I now realize how INTO butterflies you are! Cool stuff.
