Today I saw 6 bluebirds drinking from the bird bath at once….a new record.
It’ll be exciting when they start to build nests this spring.
I’m going to add another bluebird house since a woodpecker widened one of bluebird box entrance holes.

Late afternoon a hawk was sitting in a nearby tree so all the songbirds fled or froze.
Normally the nuthatch would shoo the woodpecker away for a turn at the suet.

A Downy Woodpecker and White-breasted Nuthatch staying as still as possible.

And the photo to help us remember when there was light and color in Michigan-a picture from this past fall.
