I’ve refused to acknowledge the White-crowned Sparrows or Juncos for weeks, but am appreciating the deer views.

The Robins hang out in larger groups now that they're done nesting. They hang out in the juniper trees gorging on the pine cones. I can't stand juniper trees, but they're a hit with the bird crowd.

A few deer crossing the open yard. I saw a buck about an hour after these deer were hanging out. I just missed getting a picture of it as it crossed the main deer path. He didn't follow any of the regular trails. I'm hoping the buck hangs out all the time and I just get to see them now that the leaves are gone.

A deer in the neighbor's yard.
